Where we are now…
Geeks4Peace, Inc. is founded on the principle that simply because one has a talent or ability that could be used primarily for personal gain, the choice to share that talent or ability with others without expectation of material gain can reap benefits greater than what can be accomplished by one’s self.
As technology plays an increasingly important role in our society, the need for those with an ability to analyze, deploy, manage, maintain, and ultimately dispose of technology grows proportionally. Additionally, those with an ability to effectively communicate with and educate those without a strong understanding of technology will play a progressive role in helping to advance the causes of various groups and individuals.
Unfortunately, technological advances are not always developed and implemented with noble intentions, and therefore have as much potential for harm as they have for betterment. Geeks4Peace, Inc. strives to encourage those who ultimately become responsible for the outcome of how technology is used to do so with awareness, compassion, mindfulness, and in the pursuit of Peace for ourselves, our community, and the environment.
Where we are going…
Although Geeks4Peace, Inc. is a relatively small organization at the moment, the long term vision is to provide the community with a quality alternative to traditional big-box stores for support. The business model is designed to facilitate individuals interested in opening their own technology support business, while giving back to the community in a BIG way. And lets not forget that Geeks4Peace, Inc. is a not-for-profit business itself! We do what we do because we love it!
